Surrogacy is a procedure where a healthy woman agrees to be the stand in mother, or in other words, agrees to be the womb mother for the baby. Sometimes, the surrogate mothers are also the egg donors, and are just inseminated, whereas in other cases, the fertilized embryo is transferred in the womb of the surrogate mother.

There are basically two types of surrogacies, traditional and gestational. Traditional surrogacy is the one where the egg donor is the surrogate mother as well. Whereas gestational surrogacy is the type where a fertilized embryo that has been fertilized by the semen in the thawing machine and then grown in the lab in a suitable media is then transferred into the womb of a surrogate mother or the biological mother. The surrogate mothers are healthy women who have been under regular mental and physical checkups to make sure that they are healthy enough to provide for a baby. Regular health checkups and medications are administered by the clinics and prescribed to the surrogate mothers to take great care of the baby and the mother. The baby and the mother are kept under constant care.

On August 14, 2014, a positive pregnancy test confirmed, another successful embryo transfer in Villahermosa. It meant 2 months of perseverance and commitment from our surrogate mother, who is proud of helping the happy couple. It is a joy to give our intended parents the great news, and we are working hard so that this pregnancy reaches a happy end.
